RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Performing special interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels, they are under the direction of a licensed physician using radiologic imaging for guiding the procedure. Work includes but is not limited to
o (1) reviewing and/or recording pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data;
o (2) preparing patients for testing
o (3) using C-arms, fluoroscopy, and tomography to perform exams and procedures and obtaining a record of anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician
o (4) participating in interventional cardiovascular catheterization and/or cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including balloon angioplasty, stent insertion, radiofrequency ablation, and pacemaker and/or implantable defibrillator insertion
o (5) compiling a foundation of data that is interpreted by physicians in order to make a correct anatomic, physiologic, and pathologic diagnosis for each patient
Requires interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to fit as a team member as well as the ability to function independently. Current and active professional license

Shot Records –Please note: titers records must NOT be hand written and must state values and index (ex. 2.56 is the result of the titer, >1.09 = immune)
Varicella/Chicken Pox (2) or recent titers
MMR (2) or recent titers
HepB (you may decline) (3) or recent titers
Tdap-within the last 10 years
Annual TB test (or chest x-ray within 5 years with Positive PPD) Prolonged standing and walking and the ability to lift and position patients. Stressful conditions to meet patient's needs. Able to make quick, rational decisions.
