Weekend: Per unit rotation
Call Requirements: Per unit call rotation
Holiday Option 1: Black Friday, Chirstmas Eve and Day
Holiday Option 2: Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve and Day

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team the RN works with the Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORT’s and other personnel to provide patient care in the Operating Room according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards, physician orders, policies and procedures of the Hospital and the Surgical Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ensuring supplies, timeliness of cases, communication with families, updating of physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases, and supervision of personnel delivering patient care.

Requires interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to fit as a team member as well as the ability to function independently. Current and active professional license
AHA CPR card (s) , BLS, ACLS

Shot Records –Please note: titers records must NOT be hand written and must state values and index (ex. 2.56 is the result of the titer, >1.09 = immune)
Varicella/Chicken Pox (2) or recent titers
MMR (2) or recent titers
HepB (you may decline) (3) or recent titers
Tdap-within the last 10 years
Annual TB test (or chest x-ray within 5 years with Positive PPD) Prolonged standing and walking and the ability to lift and position patients. Stressful conditions to meet patient's needs. Able to make quick, rational decisions.

• Cannot be 1st travel assignment
• At least 3 years of experience in OR hospital setting
• Strong skills in orthopedic trauma, crani,
• Must be willing to be flexible with assignments
• We have both adult and pediatric anesthesia providers and the OR RN will need to be comfortable with pediatric patients.
